One chemical found in nail polish is nitrocellulose. Nitrocellulose is a film-forming polymer that is the main ingredients in most nail polish. Nail polish consists of a film-forming polymer dissolved in a volatile organic solvent. Nitrocellulose that is dissolved in butyl acetate or ethyl acetate is common. C5H9(NO2)o5 , these solvents also dry fast so the application of the nail polish is easy. The thickeners and hardening agents are in different acrylate and polyester/polyurethane copolymers. So they are basically plastics that are dissolved in ethyl acetate. The solubility dissolved so their wont be any lumps in the polish . Luster make it shine , the shine of luster is what make nail polish so cute. The density is in nail polish so that it wouldn’t be so heavy on your hands or feet. The density makes it lighter.
